大选报道是美国大选、英国大选等政治类新闻的标配文体，也是同位语与插入语最密集的文本类型。政治新闻中的每一句引语、每一个官员的头衔、每一次事件转折，几乎都会用同位语或插入语来传递背景信息。
很多同学写议论文时，全文只有 X said Y、X did Z 这样的线性结构——问题不是语法错误，而是信息密度太低。今天我们从FT一篇2020年大选报道中，学三种最实用的同位语/插入语技巧，让句子瞬间拥有「新闻感」。

公式： "前半句引语," + 主语 + 动作 + "后半句引语."
这是英语新闻中最经典的引语插入方式。它把一整句直接引语在中间拦腰截断，插入说话人信息，让读者同时看到引语内容和发言人。

原文把 Mr Biden said 插在两句引用之间，读者读完第一句引语就知道谁在说话，第二句引语可以全神贯注于内容。在议论文或记叙文中，这种「引语中断法」能有效避免 He said... He added... He continued... 的单调重复。
句型模板：
“[直接引语第一段],” + [Subject] + [said/added/noted/argued], + “[第二段引语].”
仿写例句：

技巧二：双破折号中位插入（Subject — inserted info — predicate）
公式： 主语 + — 插入信息 — + 谓语
在上面的原文中，— putting him within six votes of clinching the White House — 是一个典型的双破折号插入语。它在一个完整的句子中间插入补充信息，既不影响句子结构，又能传递重要的背景事实。

学生版用了三个短句，信息散落；升级版把一个政治局势的全部关键信息（谁赢了哪几州？多少票？距离胜利还有多远？对比对手票数？）压缩进了一个句子。双破折号之间的内容可以是一个 -ing 短语、一个独立从句、甚至一个带逗号的完整子句。

技巧三：两逗号展开式同位语（NP, an NP that…）
公式： 名词短语, 同位语补充, 谓语
原文中的 Nevada, a state that would give him the 270 electoral votes needed for victory 就是两逗号展开式同位语——在 Nevada 之后用逗号隔开一个名词短语 a state that...，对该名词进行展开说明。两逗号插入语比双破折号更「温和」，适合传递非关键但有用的背景信息。
❌ 学生初版 Biden also had a small lead in Nevada. Nevada was a state that would give him the 270 electoral votes. He needed this to win the election.
✅ 升级版 The former vice-president also had a small lead in Nevada, a state that would give him the 270 electoral votes needed for victory.
💡 效果 学生版把「内华达州」在三句话里重复了两次，且信息递进缓慢。升级版用一个同位语就把州的战略意义交代清楚了——句子更紧凑，信息更集中。
