He is a head chef.,第三句才说 He worked at a famous restaurant.——三个信息点三个短句,像在念简历,不像在写文章。 The restaurant is in London. It used to be a beer cellar. It only has 11 seats.

The venue, in the converted beer cellar of The Blue Posts pub in Chinatown, ordinarily seats 11. With social distancing in place, there will be room for only nine. The chefs Luke Selby and his brothers Nat and Theo were set to debut here in April. … Luke, 29, was head chef at Hide Above on Piccadilly when it won a Michelin star in 2018. Before that he worked under Raymond Blanc at Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons and Clare Smyth at Restaurant Gordon Ramsay. Nat, 27, and Theo, 25, have cooked alongside him for years.

Tsuta in Tokyo, the world’s first Michelin-starred ramen restaurant, has reduced its capacity from 23 seats to around 16. But chef Yuki Onishi continues to innovate for his increasingly homegrown customer base.

Luke, 29, was head chef at Hide Above on Piccadilly when it won a Michelin star in 2018. … Nat, 27, and Theo, 25, have cooked alongside him for years.

Luke, 29, was head chef… 后面再补 when it won a Michelin star 说明成就,人物形象立刻立体。

Luke is 29 years old. He was the head chef of Hide Above. The restaurant won a Michelin star in 2018.

Luke, 29, was head chef at Hide Above on Piccadilly when it won a Michelin star in 2018.

Mr Wang, 45, has taught English for 20 years.

结构二:职业同位语·贴名式——“chef Yuki Onishi” / “The chefs Luke Selby and his brothers Nat and Theo”

The chefs Luke Selby and his brothers Nat and Theo were set to debut here in April. … But chef Yuki Onishi continues to innovate … Chef-patron Javier Rodriguez has altered the menu …

Yuki Onishi, who is a chef。 The chefs Luke Selby and his brothers Nat and Theo——职业复数 + 人名 + 亲属关系(his brothers Nat and Theo)一次打包,三位厨师和他们的兄弟关系在一个短语里说清。

Yuki Onishi is a chef at the restaurant. He always tries new dishes. Luke Selby works with his brothers. His brothers are Nat and Theo.

Chef Yuki Onishi continues to innovate for his customers. The chefs Luke Selby and his brothers Nat and Theo were set to debut here in April.

💡 效果 职业名词直接当前缀,比 who is a 的定语从句轻快得多;亲属姓名并列(his brothers Nat and Theo)省掉一整个介绍句。学生写家人、写偶像都可以套:my uncle, a chef at a hotel in Xiamen 或直接 chef uncle Wang。

模板: [职业] [人名] + 主句;The [职业s] [人名] and his [亲属] [人名1] and [人名2]

The venue, in the converted beer cellar…, seats 11”

The venue, in the converted beer cellar of The Blue Posts pub in Chinatown, ordinarily seats 11.

记者把「地点在哪、前身是什么」整个塞进两个逗号中间:in the converted beer cellar of The Blue Posts pub in Chinatown——一个介词短语完成「位置+前身+街区」三层信息,主句纹丝不动。

The restaurant is in London. It is in a beer cellar under a pub. The pub is in Chinatown. It has 11 seats.

The venue, in the converted beer cellar of The Blue Posts pub in Chinatown, ordinarily seats 11.

My school, in the heart of Xiamen’s old town, was founded in 1921.

Tsuta in Tokyo, the world’s first Michelin-starred ramen restaurant”

Tsuta in Tokyo, the world’s first Michelin-starred ramen restaurant, has reduced its capacity from 23 seats to around 16.

为什么好: 对不熟悉 Tsuta 的读者,记者在后面补了一个「称号同位语」:the world’s first Michelin-starred ramen restaurant(全球首家米其林星级拉面店)。

Tsuta is in Tokyo. It is a ramen restaurant. It is the first ramen restaurant in the world to get a Michelin star. Now it has fewer seats.

Tsuta in Tokyo, the world’s first Michelin-starred ramen restaurant, has reduced its capacity from 23 seats to around 16.

Our school is very famous. It has a long history. Our school, one of the oldest high schools in Fujian province, has produced many famous alumni.

模板: [专名], the world’s first/[最高级荣誉] [类别], [主句]

❌ My uncle is a chef. He is 42 years old. He works at a hotel. The hotel is on the beach in Xiamen. The hotel is one of the best hotels in the city. He won a cooking competition in 2019.
