如何让你的作文产生”推理感”？

很多同学的作文里只有一个因果关系链：“Because A, so B.” 但真正高级的英文写作，需要在一个段落里构建多层次逻辑——既要表达目的（“为了……”）、也要标明原因（“由于……”）、还要加上对比（“尽管……但是……”）和条件（“在……情况下”）。

今天我们从FT一篇国际政治报道——《俄罗斯从俄乌边界撤离军队》——学习5个构建推理链条的逻辑结构。

FT原文精选

Russia’s defence minister has ordered tens of thousands of troops recently deployed close to the border with Ukraine to return to their bases in a move likely to ease immediate fears of a conflict and tensions with the west.

Moscow had moved as many as 100,000 troops to its border with Ukraine over recent weeks, sparking fears of a potential invasion and prompting condemnation from the US and Nato.

Russia’s rouble, which is sensitive to any threat of western sanctions, jumped as much as 1.4 per cent against the dollar on the news.

5个逻辑衔接结构详解

1. in a move to / in a move that —— 目的+结果

原文：

为什么好： in a move to / in a move that 是FT记者最常用的逻辑结构之一——用一个名词短语（move）概括前面的行动，然后说明该行动的目的或预期结果。这比简单说 “This will ease fears” 更精致，因为它创建了一个”行动 → 逻辑意义”的桥梁。

❌ 学生初版 The government decided to reduce class sizes. This will help students learn better.

✅ 升级版 The government decided to reduce class sizes, in a move likely to improve student learning outcomes.

💡 效果 in a move likely to 把两个短句合成一个紧凑的逻辑链，从”做什么”直接过渡到”为什么做”，句子更有层次。

模板：

[某人做了某事], in a move + [不定式短语 / 定语从句，说明目的或结果].

2. due to —— 形式正式的原因表达

原文：

The possibility of war has put more pressure on strained relations due to new US sanctions, a string of tit-for-tat diplomatic expulsions and international anger at the poor health of Navalny.

为什么好： Due to 是 Because of 的正式版，在学术写作中更受欢迎。而且原文展示了 due to 后接并列的多重原因——制裁、驱逐、愤怒——让原因链条更加丰富。

❌ 学生初版 Relations between the two countries got worse because of many problems.

✅ 升级版 Tensions escalated due to a series of sanctions, diplomatic expulsions, and growing international pressure.

💡 效果 Due to + 并列名词短语 = 一个句子塞入三个原因，信息密度和逻辑层次同时提升。

模板：

[结果] due to [原因1], [原因2], and [原因3].

3. which is sensitive to —— 非限制性定语从句作因果说明

原文：

Russia’s rouble, which is sensitive to any threat of western sanctions, jumped as much as 1.4 per cent against the dollar on the news.

为什么好： 这个 which 从句的作用不是修饰”哪一种卢布”，而是解释原因——为什么卢布会跳涨？因为它对制裁威胁敏感。非限制性定语从句（有逗号）用作因果说明，是FT写作的标志性技巧。

❌ 学生初版 The Russian rouble jumped 1.4%. This is because the rouble is sensitive to western sanctions.

✅ 升级版 The Russian rouble, which is highly sensitive to the threat of western sanctions, surged 1.4 per cent on the news.

💡 效果 一个 which 从句囊括了因果关系，句子流畅、紧凑，不需要拆成两句。

模板：

[主语], which is + [属性/特点], [谓语/结果].

4. While + 从句, 主句 —— 对比的”虽然……但是……”

原文：

While the call for a withdrawal looks set to alleviate short-term fears of a conflict, the region will remain a potential flashpoint.

为什么好： While 放在句首表示对比——“虽然撤离能缓解短期恐惧，但长期来看地区仍是火药桶”。这是 Although 的另一种表达，但比 Although 多了一层”同时对比”的意味，特别适合用于承认短期成效、指出长期问题的论证结构。

❌ 学生初版 The decision reduced fears. But the problem is not solved.

✅ 升级版 While the decision may alleviate short-term concerns, the underlying tensions are far from resolved.

💡 效果 While... 结构在雅思大作文中极为好用——你可以在一个句子里同时呈现事物的两面性。

模板：

While + [短期/表面的事实], [长期/深层的结论].

5. in case of —— 条件式的预防逻辑

原文：

All Russian troops should remain in a state of readiness for an immediate response in case of the unfavourable development of Nato’s exercises.

为什么好： In case of 表示”以防万一”，是一种预防性条件——不是”如果X发生，就做Y”，而是”做好准备，以防X发生”。这种条件逻辑在议论文中展示远见和周密思考。

❌ 学生初版 If there is an emergency, we should be ready.

✅ 升级版 The emergency services remain on standby, ready to respond in case of any escalation.

💡 效果 In case of 比 if 更精确地传达”防患于未然”的态度，在讨论安全、政策、风险管理时非常实用。

模板：

[准备/措施] in case of + [潜在风险/不利情况].
