很多学生在写描述性文章或评论文时，最习惯用 say, think, do 这类「万金油」词汇。虽然不出错，但这种写作在考官眼中是「无色无味」的。

真正的母语写作者会根据动作的力度、意图和语境，选择极其精准的动作词。今天我们分析 FT 关于海地总统遇刺的短篇报道。

Haiti has declared a state of emergency after the assassination of its president Jovenel Moïse, who was shot dead during the night in his private home on the outskirts of the capital Port-au-Prince.

海地宣布进入紧急状态，此前该国总统若弗内尔•莫伊兹(Jovenel Moïse)于夜间在首都太子港(Port-au-Prince)郊区的私人住所被枪杀。

这篇文章虽然短，但每一个动词都带有强烈的「报道色彩」和「力度感」。

1. 用 Declare 替代 Say/Announce

原文：Haiti has declared a state of emergency... 如果用 said 或 announced，只是在传递信息；而 declare 带有正式的、法律上的、决定性的意味。

❌ 学生初版 The government said that there is a state of emergency.

✅ 升级版 The government declared a state of emergency to regain control of the city.

💡 效果 瞬间将语气从「告知」提升到「发布法令」，增强了权威感。

2. 用 Condemn 替代 Say it is bad

原文：...and condemned what he called an "odious, inhuman and barbaric act" 当我们要表达强烈的反对或谴责时，say it is wrong 显得过于软弱，condemn 才是标准的议论文高分词。

❌ 学生初版 The leader said that the attack was very bad and wrong.

✅ 升级版 The leader condemned the attack as an odious and barbaric act.

💡 效果 Condemn 一个词就包含了「公开地、强烈地、正式地谴责」三重含义，极大地提高了信息密度。

3. 用 Emerge 替代 Come out/Appear

原文：Although details are still emerging... 在描述信息、真相逐渐揭晓时，emerge 传达出一种「从模糊到清晰」的动态过程，比 appear 更生动。

❌ 学生初版 Although more information is coming out now…

✅ 升级版 Although more details are still emerging, the overall picture remains unclear.

💡 效果 使文章具有「叙事流动感」，是描述事件进展时的首选动词。

4. 用 Confirm 替代 Say it is true

原文：...it can be confirmed that this was a well-co-ordinated attack... 在学术或正式报道中，验证事实不叫 say it is true，而叫 confirm。

❌ 学生初版 The police said that the news about the attack is true.

✅ 升级版 The authorities confirmed that the attack was carefully planned.

💡 效果 体现了「证据支撑」的逻辑，使论证显得客观且可信。

想要摆脱「小学生词汇」，最快的方法是建立自己的 Action Verb 库。 不要试图背诵长难词，而要寻找通用词的「精准替代品」：

  • Say/Talk → Assert (坚定地认为), Claim (主张), Reiterate (重申), Condemn (谴责)
  • Change → Transform (彻底改变), Overhaul (全面检修/改革), Modify (微调)
  • Help → Facilitate (使便捷), Catalyse (催化/加速), Augment (增强)

下次写作文时，尝试把文中的 say 或 do 圈出来，强制自己替换成一个更精准的动作词。
