A rapid economic recovery is, however, rarely unbridled good news. Li, owner of the Guangdong sports shoe factory, pointed to higher raw materials costs and his struggles to hire staff. “There are too many orders and too few people,” he said.

Phoebe Xie, who runs a plastics machinery company in China’s Wenzhou, said she was worried that high demand for her products would be more than offset by the rising costs. “The most direct impact of the stimulus on our industry is the increasing price in raw materials,” she said.

The rise in imports from China will also add to tensions inside the US about the country’s large bilateral trade imbalance.

A is, however, rarely B”

A rapid economic recovery is, however, rarely unbridled good news.

结构公式: [正面现象 / 共识] + , however, + rarely / not always / but + [反面或复杂真相]

But the stimulus also has bad sides.

A rapid economic recovery is, however, rarely unbridled good news.

[Topic] is, however, rarely a [simple/straightforward/unqualified] [noun].

  • Technological progress is, however, rarely an unmitigated blessing.*
  • International cooperation is, however, rarely a straightforward process.*

According to a studyMany experts say。

Li, owner of the Guangdong sports shoe factory → 不再是一个模糊的”some people”,而是一个开工厂的老板
  2. 直接引语:“There are too many orders and too few people” → 他的话出自他本人,不是记者的转述

Many people think the policy has bad effects.

Li, owner of a Guangdong sports shoe factory, pointed to higher raw materials costs and his struggles to hire staff. “There are too many orders and too few people,” he said.

[Name], [title/role] at [organization], [verb of saying] that [abstract claim]. “[Direct quote that illustrates the claim],” he/she said.

  • Dr. Kim, a public health researcher at Seoul National University, said the policy overlooked a critical factor. “Without addressing the root cause, any solution is temporary,” she said.*

The rise in imports from China will also add to tensions inside the US about the country’s large bilateral trade imbalance.

The policy is bad. It makes things worse.

The rise in imports from China will also add to tensions inside the US about the country’s large bilateral trade imbalance.

💡 效果 “will also add to” 暗示这不是全部影响,还有更多;“large bilateral trade imbalance” 把话题从微观拉到了宏观层面,让段落有了纵深感。

[Phenomenon] is, however, rarely [simple] 为段落定调
[This] will also add to [broader implication] 把论证拉到更高层面
