读《金融时报》学英文写作：结尾技巧——用「现象定论」式收尾让结尾成为金句
你的结尾为什么总是”烂尾”？
改作文时最常看到的结尾：
❌ 学生初版 In conclusion, we should protect the environment. Everyone should do their part.
❌ 学生初版 All in all, I think this is a good idea.
问题在于：In conclusion / All in all 一出现，读者就知道你在复述。真正高级的结尾不是总结，而是收束——把全文的观察凝聚成一句让人记住的话，或者给读者留下一个态度、一个提醒、一组数据。
《金融时报》这篇关于英国”封锁脸”整容热潮的报道，写的是疫情中人们通过视频会议发现自己长相”需要修一修”的社会现象。它的结尾部分没有一句 In conclusion，却用了三个完全不同的收尾动作。今天拆给你。
FT原文示范
Save Face, a UK government-approved register of 800 accredited cosmetic practitioners, said: “Lockdown Face has become a thing.” Ashton Collins, its director, added: “We were inundated with queries saying, ‘I’ve noticed that my frown line is terrible, that my lips need doing, or my nose is crooked’.”
The British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons, an industry body, warned the public in October to be wary of unscrupulous providers seeking to cash in on the Zoom boom during lockdown. It reported a “massive upswing” in demand by all its 350 members.
Botox continues to be the most popular tweakment, accounting for about half of all procedures last year — a 17.4 per cent increase over the previous 12 months.

技巧1：现象定论式结尾
结构公式： [机构], [身份], said: "[现象] has become a thing."
FT例句：

学生结尾只会给结论，不会命名。X has become a thing 是一种”现象定论”——不解释、不总结，只给这个现象一个名字，反而比一整段总结更有力。记者把它放在机构引语里，既是权威背书，又是一个漂亮的收束金句。
❌ 学生初版 In conclusion, online learning is becoming more and more popular.
✅ 升级版 “Online learning has become a thing,” said Zhang Wei, a teacher at a local high school.
💡 效果 升级版用一句引语给现象命名，结尾不再是复述而是”盖章”；说话人的身份（a teacher at a local high school）同时完成了权威背书。
考场模板：
"[现象] has become a thing," said [人名], [身份].- 例：“Bicycle sharing has become a thing,” said a transport official in our city.
技巧2：警示收尾式
结构公式： [机构] warned [对象] to be wary of [风险群体] seeking to [不良动作]
FT例句：
The British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons, an industry body, warned the public in October to be wary of unscrupulous providers seeking to cash in on the Zoom boom during lockdown.
很多学生在结尾想表达”要小心”，写出来却是 Be careful 或 We should pay attention。FT记者用 warned... to be wary of... seeking to... 三个动词层层推进：谁来警告（机构）、警告谁（公众）、警惕什么（不良机构想趁机捞钱）。一个句子完成”提醒+风险+动机”三层信息。
❌ 学生初版 In short, we should be careful about bad information on the internet.
✅ 升级版 The education authority warned parents to be wary of unqualified tutors seeking to cash in on the exam season.
💡 效果 升级版把”要小心”升级为”机构警告+警惕对象+不良动机”，结尾自带一种严肃的提醒感，比 We should be careful 更像成人的书面表达。
考场模板：
[机构] warned [对象] to be wary of [风险群体] seeking to [动作]- 例：Doctors warned teenagers to be wary of online fitness coaches seeking to sell expensive courses.
技巧3：数据走强式结尾
结构公式： [项目] continues to be the most popular [类别], accounting for [占比] — a [增幅] increase over [时间段]
FT例句：
Botox continues to be the most popular tweakment, accounting for about half of all procedures last year — a 17.4 per cent increase over the previous 12 months.
学生结尾写”越来越受欢迎”只会 more and more popular。FT记者用占比+增幅两个数据收尾：accounting for about half（占比）加破折号后的 a 17.4 per cent increase（增幅），让”受欢迎”从形容词变成可验证的数字。数据式结尾的好处是：不需要表态，数字本身就是结论。
❌ 学生初版 In conclusion, basketball is the most popular sport in our school.
✅ 升级版 Basketball continues to be the most popular sport in our school, accounting for nearly half of all club memberships — a 20 per cent increase over last year.
💡 效果 升级版用 accounting for 给出占比、用破折号补充增幅，一个结尾装进两个数据，比 is the most popular 信息密度高得多，也更像真实的新闻报道。
考场模板：
[项目] continues to be the most popular [类别], accounting for [占比] — a [增幅] increase over [时间段]- 例：Electric vehicles continue to be the most popular choice, accounting for a third of new car sales — a 25 per cent increase over last year.
针对性练习建议
- 命名练习：想一个你身边正在发生的小现象（比如”自习室占座""外卖迟到”），用 X has become a thing 给它起个名字，写进结尾。
- 警示仿写：用 warned… to be wary of… seeking to… 写一个关于”网络沉迷”或”盲目追星”的提醒式结尾。
- 数据收尾应用：找出你作文里最想强调的一个趋势，给它配一个占比和增幅（可以虚构但要有逻辑），用 accounting for… — a … increase 收尾。
